Entry Information
AERC QUALIFICATIONS: These are NOT open rides, they require qualification rides and miles, as follows:
- 100-mile ride: 500 lifetime miles (horse) AND 500 lifetime miles (rider), with at least one 100-mile, one-day ride together. The mileage requirements must be met with endurance competitions of 50 miles or more only -- no limited distance miles count towards qualification criteria. All miles MUST be AERC miles.
- 50-mile ride: 300 lifetime miles (horse) AND 300 lifetime miles (rider), with at least 100 miles together. The mileage requirements must be met with endurance competitions of 50 miles or more only -- no limited distance miles count towards qualification criteria. All miles MUSt be AERC miles.
- Alternate Qualification (either distance): If the horse and rider team has completed 1,000 AERC endurance miles (rides 50 miles or more only) they are qualified to enter.
ENTRY FORMS / PAYMENT: Please return entry form and signed waiver (entry form is here) (note: this entry form covers AHA championship entry as well), if not already done, with your deposit or full fee. All final payments are due by August 25; late fees will apply for any entries after August 25; ride closing date is September 10 (that is, entries post-dated after this time will only be accepted at the discretion of the Ride Manager). Fees, except for $25 deposit, are refundable with notice received before Monday, September 10; partial prior to September 15; minimal thereafter. You MUST bring Coggins test papers to check-in, or send a copy of the Coggins current through your planned stay ahead of time. There is a $25 late fee for downgrading to 50 after August 25. AHA Championship Rides:
AHA national endurance championships: The 50 (Competition # 121211600) and 100 mile (Competition # 121211601) rides of the Adequan AERC Championship are AHA recognized as the AHA national endurance championships. To compete in the AHA Championship, the basic requirements are, in addition to the AERC qualifications:
==> Have entered an Arabian or Half-Arabian in the event. Canadian registered horses may compete. USEF Competition Visa rules may apply for Canadian entries.
==> Present copies of the horse's registration, show rider's and owner's 2012 'Competitor' AHA membership card. Note: Horses belonging to, managed by, or trained by a judge or steward for the event may not compete.

Fill in appropriate separate release (included on primary entry forms) for the AHA at or before registration.
The AHA Championship Competitive Trail Ride will also be held, Sunday 23 September and Monday 24 September on site. To compete in this event the basic qualifications are:
==> Have entered an Arabian or Half-Arabian in the event. Canadian registered horses may compete. USEF Competition Visa rules may apply for Canadian entries.
==> Present copies of the horse's registration, show rider's and owner's 2012 'Competitor' AHA membership card. Note: Horses belonging to, managed by, or trained by a judge or steward for the event may not compete.
==> Horses must be at least 60 months of age.
==> Have provable qualifying rides. Qualifying rides as follows:
a. Horses must within two years of the closing date for entries (10 September):
i. Complete 100 miles of an AHA Recognized Competitive Trail Ride(s) or an Open Competitive Trial Ride(s) sanctioned by an AHA Approved Ride Organization(see Note 1 below) or at ride(s) sanctioned by AERC of no less than 25 miles (of which at least 50 miles must be in an AHA Recognized Competitive Trail Ride(s) or an Open Competitive Trail Ride(s) sanctioned by an AHA Approved Ride Organization)
ii. Placing Top Five in a Regional Championship Competitive Trail Ride, or
iii. Placing Top Ten in a National Competitive Trail Ride, or
iv. Previous recognized National Champion Competitive Trail Horses are qualified for life and may re-enter any National or Regional Championship Competitive Trail Ride. Reserve Champion Competitive Trail Horses are qualified for four years, plus the portion of the current year prior to the closing of entries for the National CTR, and may re-enter the National Championship Competitive Trail Ride within that period.
b. Rider must:
i. Not be an immediate member of judge's or steward's family.
ii. Not be working in an official capacity for the ride as listed in CTR114 with the exception of 1514.3, the ride publicity chair

Note 2:
Juniors for AHA CTR: Any individual under the age of 19 as of December 1 of the previous calendar year who has currently paid the youth dues
AWARDS: Completion awards for all riders. First in each weight division, first junior; first to finish in each distance; and Best Condition. Other awards as sponsored.
For the CTR: Open CTR ride awards are ribbons, and ride management will also supply some basic recognition in addition for first, second, and third place finishers. AHA supplies AHA awards, which are generally quite good.
